program overview

Learner-Focused, Family Supported

We’re creating an environment to support families who homeschool or use online learning programs by providing a structured, enriching environment two to three days per week. We focus on helping teens build critical thinking skills, confidence, and a sense of purpose—through real collaboration and hands-on learning while building meaningful relationships.

Engaging Purposeful Work

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, learners will explore practical math through open-ended, exploratory challenges and dive into literature and grammar using Socratic-style discussions that sharpen communication and deepen understanding. Afternoons are reserved for student-led projects, and our optional Friday program includes entrepreneurship, community engagement, and career exploration.

There’s no busy work, rote homework, or daily testing. Just rich, relevant learning that supports what you're already doing and stretches learners in new ways while building socialization.

Optional MAP Testing Offered

For families interested in tracking academic growth, we offer optional MAP testing. This assessment provides helpful insights into progress in math, reading, and language usage and can be used to inform flexible groupings and support.

Participation is optional and intended as a tool for families—not a mandate.

🌟 Student-led Projects

While we're busy designing a dynamic, hands-on curriculum, learners will play a key role in shaping what we explore together. Their interests, passions, and ideas will help guide our journey. Some projects will be collaborative, while others will encourage independent thinking—creating a balance of real-world skills that go far beyond the traditional classroom.

🔍 Examples of Possible Projects Include:

  • Cooking + Chemistry

  • The Science and Art of Happiness

  • Build a City Challenge

  • Escape Room Engineering

  • Passion Projects and Teaching Others

What Are Future Fridays?

Fridays help learners connect with the world beyond the classroom—building leadership skills, discovering passions, and contributing meaningfully to their communities. Future Fridays are available as a stand-alone option or as an add-on for our Tuesday/Thursday program.

Each Friday includes opportunities like:

🧠 Career Exploration
Learners will explore different professions, hear from guest speakers, and begin to map out personal interests and post-high school paths—including apprenticeships, internships, entrepreneurship, or college.

🏙️ Community Service Projects
We’ll partner with local organizations and empower learners to choose causes they care about—then design creative ways to give back through service, fundraising, or volunteerism.

🎉 Social Planning & Leadership
Learners will lead in planning events, celebrations, and group activities—developing organizational and collaboration skills while shaping their community culture.

💡 Student-Led Business
From idea to execution, learners will work in teams to build and run a real business—developing marketing plans, managing budgets, and delivering value. It’s an opportunity to try, fail, learn, and grow in a safe, supportive environment.
